SEBS Dosage Information

DOSAGE AMOUNT FOR SEPTIC SYSTEM TREATMENT (Up to 1000 Gallons Holding Capacity)

Dosage Amount: The dosage amount may vary due to the age and condition of the septic system. The initial treatment dosage is higher for older septic systems and is followed by a regular maintenance dosage schedule. The following recommendations are based upon 1000-gallon septic tanks.

For a New Septic System 1-3 Years Old 4-7 Years Old 8-12 Years Old 13-20 Years Old
Initial Dose:
Use 2 pints per month for the first 3 months. 
Maintenance
:
Use 1 pint per month.
Initial Dose:
Use 2 pints per week for the first 4 weeks. 
Maintenance
:
Use 1 pint per month.
Initial Dose:
Use 3 pints per week for the first 5 weeks. Then use 1 pint per week for the next 4 weeks.

aintenance:
Use 1 pint per month.
Initial Dose:
Use 2 quarts per week for the first 6 weeks. Then use 1 quart per week for the next 4 weeks. For the following 4 weeks, use 1 quart every 2 weeks.
Maintenance:

Use 1 pint every 2 weeks for 8 weeks. Then use 1 pint per month.
Initial Dose:
Use 3 quarts per week for the first 8 weeks. Then use 2 quarts per week for the next 4 weeks. For the following 3 weeks, use 1 quart per week. Last, use 1 quart every 2 weeks for the next 4 weeks. 
Maintenance
:
Use 1 pint Per month.

*Adjust the dosage for the appropriate holding tank capacity, i.e., a 1500-gallon tank would require an increase in dosage by 50%.

Note: For best results, older septic systems should be cleaned and pumped out before SEBS treatment. Cleaning should include the removal of any blockage in pipes, drains, or lateral lines.
