Defoamer 4000 for Swine

Defoamer 4000 is designed for swine pits, holding tanks, sewage plants, lagoons, and industrial waste water holding tanks to control foam without affecting the internal chemistry of water. The fermenting in the pit(s) is caused by the undigested feed causing the manure to create a foaming response. This releases methane gasses that are an extreme health and safety concern to the swine and personnel working in the pit/lagoon environment. Our concentrated Defoamer 4000 for Swine Pits is designed to control severe foam created by fermentation, methanogen bacteria (methane gas), and hydrogen sulfide gas production in hog confinement pits and lagoons. After initial use of Defoamer 4000, it is recommended that the product be applied on a regular basis to control and prevent foam. Talk to your EST Inc. specialist about specific dosage requirements in your lagoon.
