Sand Joint Stabilizer Concentrate

Sand Joint Stabilizer is a durable acrylic coating that consolidates loose sand joints and protects them, concrete, and brick pavers from water penetration. Treated surfaces resist water related problems, including freeze-thaw damage, efflorescence, and weed growth. Sand Joint Stabilizer also limits staining from spilled oil and food and drink; treated surfaces are easy to clean and long lasting.

Sand Joint Stabilizer has a shelf-life or 1 year from the date of manufacture and is contained in a tightly sealed, unopened container.

Sand Joint Stabilizer is recommended for the substrates below; always test. Coverage is in square feet/meters per gallon of concentrate.

Applications: Do not use in direct sunlight, or when temperatures are colder than 50° F, or warmer than 90° F.

Preparation: Protect people, vehicles, property, plants, painted surfaces, and all non-masonry surfaces from product, residue, splash, fumes, and wind drift. Use polyethylene or other proven protective material. Pavers must be clean and dry before treatment.

Note: A waterproof barrier should be included in the construction of the deck or floor to prevent migration of moisture from underneath the masonry flatwork. ALWAYS TEST each surface for suitability and desired results before overall application. Let the surface dry thoroughly before inspection and approval. DO NOT DILUTE OR ALTER.

Use the Following Application Instructions: Sweep dry sand into the joints; sweep excess off of the pavers surface. Apply Sand Joint Stabilizer evenly and complete with a low-pressure sprayer (large areas) or a pump sprayer (small areas). Let the treatment penetrate for 1-2 minutes. Do not let Sand Joint Stabilizer pool on the surface; remove excess sealer with a soft squeegee. Two or more applications may be needed for a uniform appearance on some porous surfaces. Before applying additional coats, let the first coat dry for 1-2 hours; apply subsequent coats lightly. Sand Joint Stabilizer dries to the touch in 1-3 hours. Protect from wheel and foot traffic for 4 hours. Protect from water for 6 hours.

Clean Up: Clean tools and equipment immediately with soap and water.

Maintenance: Sweep and damp mop treated surfaces frequently to prevent abrasion from grit and dirt.

Caution: May cause irritation. Contains ester alcohol and benzyl alcohol. Avoid eye contact. Wear safety glasses or splash goggles, depending upon application procedures. Avoid prolonged skin contact. If skin is sensitive or becomes irritated, wear rubber gloves. Wear long-sleeved work clothing or splash-resistant clothing as needed to prevent prolonged skin contact. Do not breath mists; may cause respiratory irritation. Wear a NIOSH approved dust/mist respirator as needed. Wash thoroughly after handling. Maintain adequate ventilation during interior use.

First Aid: If ingested, do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, keep victim’s head lower than hips to avoid aspiration; seek immediate medical assistance. If inhaled, seek medical attention if irritation develops. If eye contact occurs, rinse thoroughly for 15 minutes; seek immediate medical assistance. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and rinse thoroughly for 15 minutes; seek immediate medical assistance if persistent irritation develops. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.

Storage and Handling: Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. Protect non-targeted surfaces, pets, and plants during application. Do not reuse container. Do not alter, dilute product, or use for applications other than specified. Dispose of container and unused product in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
